Dr. Filiz Besim
Dr. Filiz Besim, the heart of Besim Dental Cyprus, graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1987 and earned her PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2000. Her extensive international training includes Tufts University in Boston and New York University. With over 15 years of experience in oral implantology and complex maxillofacial surgery, she has worked extensively at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and now practices at her private clinic in Nicosia. Dr. Besim has also served as the Minister of Health of Northern Cyprus (2018–2019) and is currently a Member of Parliament, continuing her commitment to ethical, patient-centred healthcare and advanced surgical procedures. Her expertise ensures the highest standards in safety and long-term function for all our patients.
Dr. Zeki Besim and Dt. Cemil Besim
Dr. Zeki Besim, who graduated from Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in 2020 and is currently specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, is expected to complete it in 2026. He focuses on surgical dental procedures, combining modern techniques with a careful, ethical, and patient-focused approach, ensuring continuity of advanced care for our patients.
Complementing our restorative work, Dt. Cemil Besim graduated from Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in 2023 and is currently pursuing his specialization in orthodontics, with an expected graduation in 2028. He is dedicated to modern orthodontic treatments, emphasizing both functional alignment and aesthetic outcomes through evidence-based care, ensuring comprehensive smile transformations for patients of all ages.
Dr. Meryem Ziya and Dr. Cise Nazim periodontal & paediatric expertise
Dr. Meryem Ziya, born in London in 1990, completed her education at Near East College before graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2013. She completed her specialisation in Pediatric Dentistry at Ankara University in 2017 with a research-based thesis. Her main area of expertise is endodontic treatment of primary teeth, with a strong focus on preserving children’s oral health through gentle and evidence-based care. Dr. Ziya is passionate about creating calm, positive dental experiences for our youngest patients.
Dr. Çise Nazım, born in 1992 in Nicosia, completed her education at Güzelyurt Turkish Maarif College before graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 2015. She earned her PhD in Periodontology from Gazi University in 2019 and worked as a dentist and periodontologist at Ankara Private Middle East Hospital during her training. A proud member of the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association and the International Team for Implantology (ITI), her clinical interests include peri-implant diseases, gingival recession, and aesthetic gum treatments. Dr. Nazım’s dedication to gum health is vital for supporting both overall oral health and smile harmony.
