Our Story
Dr. Filiz Besim graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1987 and completed her PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ankara University in 2000. She further advanced her expertise through international training programs, including periodontal and implant surgery at Tufts University in Boston and maxillofacial surgery at New York University.
She worked as a maxillofacial surgeon at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for many years and currently practices at her private clinic in Nicosia. With over 15 years of experience in oral implantology, Dr. Besim routinely performs advanced oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, implant treatments, and laser applications, using internationally recognized implant systems. Conscious sedation and general anesthesia are safely performed in collaboration with anesthesiologists.
In addition to her clinical career, Dr. Besim has held several leadership roles in professional medical and dental organizations. She served as the Minister of Health of Northern Cyprus between 2018–2019 and is currently a Member of Parliament, continuing her commitment to public health and healthcare development.
Our History
Founded under the leadership of Dr. Filiz Besim, our clinic has grown into a multidisciplinary dental center committed to excellence, ethics, and patient-centered care. What began as a specialist oral and maxillofacial surgery practice has evolved into a comprehensive clinic offering advanced dental treatments under one roof.
Today, our team consists of six highly qualified dentists, each specialized in their respective fields, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology (gum diseases), pediatric dentistry, implantology, and restorative dentistry. By combining expertise across specialties, we provide integrated treatment plans tailored to patients of all ages.
Our clinic continues to invest in modern technology, continuous professional development, and international standards of care, ensuring safe, effective, and personalized treatments for both local and international patients.
